1. On the New menu, point to Accounting and click Charge.

2. The New Charge screen will be displayed.

3. Complete all the fields that are applicable.
Note: You must complete all fields that have an asterisk next to them (*). These are required fields for creating a new charge.

4. To complete fields that are hyperlinked, click on the field name and you will see a lookup screen. (I THINK WE SHOULD LINK TO A LOOKUP SCREEN PAGE HERE.) For example, when you click on Account# you will see the Account# Lookup where you can find the account number for the Contact.

5. Click Save to save the charge and be taken to the Edit Charge screen, which allows you to further input information about the charge.

6. Click Save/New to save the charge and be taken to a blank New Charge screen, which allows you to create another new charge.

Regardless of what you are searching for, the search screens in TSS are very similar. The screen shot shown here is the Contact Search screen. If you were searching for a reservation, the screen would be very similar. This allows you to learn the basics of searching and apply what you know in all areas of the system.

Searchable Fields

No matter what you are searching for (contacts, reservations, etc), you will see a list of fields on the left side of the search screen. These are the fields you may use for your search. In the example shown here (a contact search), you see fields such as Account number, Contact number, First name, Last name, etc. You can enter data into these fields to perform your search.

Sort By

At the top of the right side of the screen you will see the Sort by field. This field is used to tell TSS how you want your search results sorted. In the example shown above, the search results would be sorted by the contact’s last name.

Search Results Fields

Along the right hand side, below the Sort By field, you will see a check-list of fields. These are the fields which will be displayed in the results screen of your search. Check the box next to those fields you wish to see on the search results screen.

To perform a basic search, follow these steps:
Note: The contact search is used in this example. Other searches are very similar.

1. Click the Search menu.
2. Select Contacts > Contacts.
3. You will see the Contact Search screen, as shown below.
4. You can enter search criteria in any of the fields on the left side of the screen. For example, to search for a contact whose last name is Jones you would enter “Jones” in the Last Name field.Please see below for more information on searching.
   
5. When you have entered your search criteria, click the Execute button to perform the search. NNote: You can also press the Enter key to execute the search.
6. You will see the Search Results screen, as shown below.
7. Click the Blue Link text in the left-most column when you find the contact you are looking for. This will open the contact’s main record.
